The hotel was built in 1885 by Jean Bidondo, of Bidaray. It took successives names: Bidondoa, Sagardottegia, Iguskian, then recently Paradis. Its activity of hotel business began in 1905. In 1925, his new owner, Théophile Bidart, enlarged and modernized it. In 1951, Jean Geoffroy, engineer in Paris, acquired it, then resold it in 1978 to Mr and Mrs Saintesteven of Itxassou. In their pension, the couple gave it up in 1999 to Paolo Urretavizcaya of San-Sébastien. It was recently bought back by Mr Eric Siemen of Urcuit in 2003, to continue its activity and prevent that it is buy by property developers. Inside decoration is in progress in the respect of traditions and of modern symboles.
